Fruit, Will Heron's Crime Comedy Thriller is OUT NOW.

After over a year of writing, editing, more writing, more editing, typesetting, printing, and finally promoting Fruit. I am very happy to see the release day fast approaching. On Tuesday 20th June, 2023 my first book will be released into the world.

A Crime Comedy Caper

Fruit is a crime comedy novel primarily. A genre I feel is somewhat lacking in the literary world, compared to its position within the film universe. Films like Lock Stock and Snatch as well as classics like the Lavender Hill Mob appear to have no equal in the world of books. So I am hoping and dreaming to fill this void.

Every crime fiction doesn't have to be a murder mystery. All crime books set in a rural British location don't have to be heavy on the cream teas. Fruit is a different side to rural England, the real side perhaps. All dodgy farmers and shady-looking men in wellies with giant sideburns.

Fruit is also a little satirical, pocking some gentle fun at everyone. From caravanners to hipsters, nobody is spared. In modern England, it's hard not to ridicule the awful version of ourselves that we seem to have become. So why avoid it?

Take on your holiday, it makes a great holiday book - light-hearted and fun with only a bit of occasional murder.
